Schedule Manager Overview

Use the Schedule Manager to create master schedules, then build student schedules.

About locked vs. transient schedules

The transient state allows you to create multiple schedules to use as "what if" scenarios to see if one of the schedules works better to fill sections. Once you've settled on the best schedule — the production version — you'll lock it and delete the ones you won't use.

A locked schedule can't be deleted. If you must delete a locked schedule, you must first remove all scheduling artifacts and reset the schedule to transient.

You can transition between transient and locked once the schedule is created.
