Create a Schedule from Scratch

Schedules are created and maintained in the Schedule Manager. You can either create a schedule from scratch — as described in this topic — or create one by copying an existing schedule.

Choosing a production, or Locked, state means that you intend to use this schedule for actual scheduling purposes. You cannot delete a locked schedule unless you remove all scheduling artifacts and reset the schedule to transient.

Process — Create a schedule from scratch

  1. Create the schedule.

  2. Configure the periods.

  3. Edit the calendar as needed.

  4. Enroll students.

  5. Build course requests.

  6. Build course sections.

  7. Build student schedules.

Create a new schedule from scratch

  1. Select Students from the Jump to Module pull-down list in the upper right corner.

  2. Select Schedule Manager from the Scheduling menu, and that window opens.

  3. Click Create Schedule, and the New Schedule window opens.

  4. Complete the fields as described.

  5. Click Create. The record is saved, and additional tabs become visible. Example
