The timesheet import can be used in two ways:
By exporting an Excel spreadsheet of hourly employees and employees eligible for overtime in the payroll batch, entering hours, and re-importing it.
By creating a time import file definition for use with external time systems and then importing it.
While in the payroll batch, click on the Timesheets tab.
Click Export Time, and save the resulting payrolltime.xlsx file.
Open the spreadsheet, and enter hours as needed.
While in the Timesheets tab, click Choose File, navigate to the location of the file, and open it.
Leave the Import File Source set to WebSmart Excel File.
Click Upload File. You'll see a progress bar, and when the import is finished, you'll see the results in the bottom half of the window.
Clicking Reset Time will delete all records created by the import.
If you need to make changes/additions to the imported hours, edit the spreadsheet, and upload it again.
Clicking Reprocess Time will process the spreadsheet again.
While in the payroll batch, click on the Timesheets tab.
While in the Timesheets tab, click Choose File, navigate to the location of the file, and open it.
Select the time file format you created from the Import File Source pull-down list.
Click Upload File. You'll see a progress bar, and when the import is finished, you'll see the results in the bottom half of the window.
