The grading calendar is used to:

About progress dates

The progress date defines the last date for the data entry of grades for the Progress Report. For example, if the date is set to 9/2, every student's average is archived at 9/1 on the stroke of midnight.

If no date is defined, the Progress Report look at averages at the time the report is run. The report cannot be back-dated.

Designating progress dates is not recommended except for campuses where athletic participants must meet academic standards three weeks into the cycle.

About period layout dates

Period layout dates define which courses are available to have attendance posted based on the period plan, the period layout associated with a scheduling unit, and the scheduling unit attached to courses.

About the attendance models

Selecting the appropriate attendance model depends on the learning situation. The options are: on-campus (OC), remote asynchronous (RA), and remote synchronous (RS).
