Define Course Attributes

You'll use the Attributes tab to define the amount and method of credit awarded along with some settings linked to a district’s GPA and transcript policy.

About awarding credit

By sequence: Credit is awarded with term grade after completing each part. For example, if students pass the first part of the course, but fail the second part, they'll receive credit for the first part and none for the second part.

By course: Students have to complete all parts of the course to get credit, and credit is based on the average grade for the whole course. For example, if the average grade is passing, the student gets full credit, but if the average grade is failing, the student gets no credit.

By student advantage: If students pass only one part of the course, they receive credit for that part. And if their average for both parts is a passing grade — even if one part is failing — they receive full credit.

Grades: Sem.1 = 92% & Sem.2 = 66%; Average = 79%

Grades: Sem.1 = 72% & Sem.2 = 50%; Average = 61%
