Promote Retain codes are recorded in the Promote Retain Rsn. field in Student Manager > Enrollment > Other Annual Information.
This topic describes how to add and edit promote retain codes, if needed.
Select Students from the Jump to Module pull-down list in the upper right corner.
Select Demographic Flags, then Promote Retain Codes from the Students menu, and the Promote Retain Codes window opens.
Click Add New Code, and the New Promote Retain Reason Code window opens.
Enter the two-digit Code and Description.
Click Create. The code is saved, and the Edit window opens.
Click Edit Identifier, and the Identifier window opens.
Enter the List Description — a short description to be used in drop-down menus.
Select the At Risk Indicator from the pull-down list, or leave the default value of None.
Check the Should Be Retained box, if applicable.
Click Save.
Select the code to be used as the default when creating a student record by clicking the star in the Default Assignment column.

Select Demographic Flags, then Promote Retain Codes from the Students menu, and the Promote Retain Codes window opens.
Click the icon for the promote retain code you want to edit, and the Edit window opens.
Click Edit Identifier, and the Identifier window opens with the fields editable.
Edit the fields as needed, and click Save.
Change the code to be used as the default when creating a student record by clicking the star in the Default Assignment column, if needed.
