The grading calendar is used to:
Determine to which cycle and term a particular date belongs in order to properly allocate grades within the grade book. Click here for instructions.
Determine which periods occur in which sequence, depending on the scheduling track onto which a student is enrolled. Click here for instructions.
Determine the attendance model — on-campus, remote asynchronous, or remote synchronous. Click here for instructions.

The progress date defines the last date for the data entry of grades for the Progress Report. For example, if the date is set to 9/2, every student's average is archived at 9/1 on the stroke of midnight.
If no date is defined, the Progress Report look at averages at the time the report is run. The report cannot be back-dated.
Designating progress dates is not recommended except for campuses where athletic participants must meet academic standards three weeks into the cycle.
Period layout dates define which courses are available to have attendance posted based on the period plan, the period layout associated with a scheduling unit, and the scheduling unit attached to courses.
Selecting the appropriate attendance model depends on the learning situation. The options are: on-campus (OC), remote asynchronous (RA), and remote synchronous (RS).
For a campus that allows remote learning, but doesn’t allow teachers to mark asynchronous presence, choose the attendance model RS. The attendance codes available in the Grade Book would then be RS and U (unexcused absence). A user with access to the Attendance Manager could then change a U to an RA, if the student logged on at a later time.
For a campus that allows remote learning and allows teachers to mark asynchronous presence, choose the attendance model RS. The attendance codes available in the Grade Book would then be RS and E (excused absence). The teacher could then change an E to an RA, if the student logged on at a later time.
For a campus that only has remote learning, choose the attendance model RA. The attendance codes available in the Grade Book would then be RA and E, and the teacher could then change an E to an RA, if the student logged on at a later time.
For a campus that doesn’t allow for any remote learning, choose the attendance model OC. The attendance codes available in the Grade Book would then be P (present), T (present but tardy), and E (excused absence).
