Add Assignments

You can add assignments only after a policy has been applied or defined by the district/campus.

You can use the Copy To Other Sections command to copy assignments to other sections that use the same grading policy, but not to sections that use a different grading policy.

Add assignments

  1. Select Students from the Jump to Module pull-down list in the upper right corner.

  2. Select Grade Book from the Grades menu, then click on the Assignments tab. Note: If you don't see the Add Assignments button, you'll need to link a grading policy to the course.

  3. Select the course/section from the Assignments for pull-down list, if needed.

  4. Select the Cycle, if needed, as it determines the dates included in the Due Date pull-down list and defines the report card period in which the grades will be included.

  5. Click Add Assignments, and the Assignment Details window opens. Note: This window may have additional or different fields depending on the Assignment Type and grading policy for this course/section.

  6. Complete the fields as described. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).

  7. Click Save, and you're returned to the Assignments tab with the new assignment listed.

  8. Repeat steps 4 - 6 to add more assignments.
