All high school students must have a graduation plan. While it isn't mandatory that the plan be configured in WebSmart, its' used by automated scheduling and allows better tracking of student graduation progress.
Multiple graduation plans can be created — one each for the FHSP plus an endorsement — for example, 34 FHSP w/ STEM Endorsement.
Graduation plans do not have to be created each year, but you should review them each year, and update them if necessary.
Click here for more information about graduation plans.
Select Students from the Jump to Module pull-down list in the upper right corner.
Select Graduation Plans from the Scheduling menu, and Graduation Plans List window opens.
Click Create Graduation Plan, and the New Graduation Plan window opens.
Complete the fields as described.
Name: This name is displayed on the transcript. We recommend that you include the endorsement name — for example, 34 FHSP w/ STEM Endorsement.
Graduation Type: Select 34 - Foundation for 14-15. Additional codes are available in the C062 code table.
Click Create, and the Components tab becomes visible. Example
Click on the Components tab. You'll use this tab to enter the credits for the course areas & courses and the scheduling sequence for the courses.
Click the icon for the Course Area you want to set up. The course area fields become visible, and all courses from the course catalog for the course area are listed. Example
Enter the number of Credits required for this course area.
Complete the following for each course that will be part of this graduation plan.
Reporting: Select the number of required credits for this course OR select Optional for courses that can satisfy a course area requirement but are not mandated.
Sched Seq: Select from 1-4 or Any. This number defines the order in which automated scheduling will request the courses. Putting the courses in sequential order will require students to complete them in a specific order. For example, students won't be able to take English 2 if they haven't received credit for English 1. Selecting Any means the course can be completed in any order.
Click Save when you've finished setting up all courses for this course area. Example
Repeat steps 7-10 for each course area required by this graduation plan.
