Use the Payments menu to set up and process check runs for accounts payable and payroll liabilities.
AP checks
Create an AP check run in the Make Payments window or in the AP Check Runs window.
Edit an AP check run
Print checks and electronic files
Standard AP: all liabilities, overdue, net 10, net 30, net 60, and net 90
Payroll: all liabilities, overdue, net 10, net 30, net 60, and net 90
Reimbursements: all liabilities, overdue, net 10, net 30, net 60, and net 90

In the Preview window, the check run won't be submitted to the bank register or ledger until you click the Save button.
The text at the top lists the amounts in live checks and electronic payments that will be posted to the ledger and the register of the selected account.
Clicking the icon in the Live Checks section will produce a PDF file of the check stub.
Clicking the icon in the Electronic Files section will generate a PDF file containing the details of the payment.
The three types of electronic payment are:
Standard: Payments made on vendor websites are recorded in the ledger.
EFTPS: Employee tax payments; the PDF displays the information needed to make your payment online.
TRS - Texnet: Teacher retirement payments; the PDF displays the needed information for making your payment online.
AP Statements section: Use this information to track vendor invoices and credit memos that zero each other out, but need to be posted to the general ledger.
