Select Admin from the Module pull-down list on the top of the screen.
Select Campuses from the District menu, and the Campuses list window opens.
Click the icon for the campus to which you want to add an academic plan, and the Edit window opens.
Click on the SIS Information tab.
Click Add Plan, and additional fields become visible.
Complete the fields as described.
Name: Enter a name; it will be displayed when scheduling students.
Next Plan: Select the plan to be used on the next campus. If the current campus serves multiple grades, configure each as needed. If students remain at this campus, leave this field set to None.
Click Save, and the new plan is displayed.
Click the icon for the new academic plan, and this window opens.
Select the Grade Level from the pull-down list in the upper right corner.
Click Add Template, and this window opens.
Complete the fields as described for required courses. Note: A goal for a required course specifies the course from the list of courses designated for this grade level in the course catalog.
Scheduling Goal Type: Leave the default Required.
Request Priority: Select from 1 - Lowest to 5 - Highest. Course requests with a higher number are fulfilled first.
Course: Select from the list of courses designated for this grade level in the course catalog. Note: If a course isn't listed, revisit the course catalog, and update the grade levels on the Scheduling tab.
Click Save, and you're returned to the Scheduling Goal window.
Repeat steps 10-12 for additional required courses.
Complete the fields as described for recommended courses. Automated scheduling uses the graduation plan to determine which recommended course should be requested.
Scheduling Goal Type: Select Recommended, and additional fields are displayed.
Request Priority: Select from 1 - Lowest to 5 - Highest. Course requests with a higher number are fulfilled first.
Course Area: Select from the list.
AAR Code: Optional. Select from the list if applicable.
Goal:
Enter the number of credits to be requested.
Then select the distribution of credits — Select from:
Credits must be applied to one course: When this option is selected, if the goal is 1.0 credit in Fine Arts, the system will select a single 1.0 credit course.
Credits can be divided amongst multiple courses: For example, if the goal is 1.0 credit in the PE course area and it's to be divided among multiple courses, the system will select either a 1.0 credit course in one or more parts OR 2 0.5 credit courses.
would try to schedule 2 courses of .5 credit each.
Click Save, and you're returned to the Scheduling Goal window.
Click Add Template, and repeat steps 14-15 for additional recommended courses.
IMPORTANT: Repeat steps 9-16 until you've completed this plan for all grade levels.
